Came back to Houston, got into a major car wreck one hour before my 23rd birthday. That could've ended my life. Some guy was running a red and hit the driver's side front engine, causing my car to swing into a pole by the highway. Car was totalled (destroyed). At least I have a new car now. Life is short gotta treasure it more.

This semester was really happening. We went to Victoria for the "putting on the Ritz" competition, up against each other. That was kinda pointless because we were just competing with each other. But it was still a good experience. Then, we had Dances with Owls. Finally, it was Ohio Star Ball! We flew there and competed with the whole nation. 2nd in pre-bronze quickstep, 3rd in pre-bronze tango. 90 couples. It was an amazing experience. Only made semis for latin dances. I was hoping for more on the cha-cha, but our coach is primarily a standard coach.

What would you choose as a date:
getting lost in a city and see where it takes you
or
a candle lit picnic on the beach?
A couple of years ago the answer would be undoubtedly the a candle lit picnic on the beach, but now it seems like getting lost in a city holds so much more excitement and adventure.

everytime i think i've worked the hardest in my life, a new assignment comes up that makes me work even harder. Chemical Engineering is currently owning my life. 4 hours of sleep per night average for this week. but i went out to starbucks to study once two nights ago. studied there till 2am. reminded me of A Levels and studying in mcdonalds. Or was that O Levels? hmmmm... crap. that's too long ago. Got a test coming up next week, and NO time to study. Homework and research are taking up too much time ;( argh... what's becoming of my life.

surviving on less than 2 hours of sleep. last week has been a week of little sleep... Z_z
but I did have my fair share of activities like rock climbing once and I helped set up a really nice formal swing dancing ball. There were females wearing like dresses and hats with gloves!! like in titanic, the rich women with gloves... and there was a man dressed as a sailor with his wife as a nurse. he was pretty old and i thought he was living out a fantasy. There were guys with top hats, guys in suspenders, tuxedos. It was a joint event with the HSDS (Houston Swing Dancing Society). It was amazing. Never knew there was such a population of happening people! There was a live orchestra/dance band playing at the side and we were dancing on the waxed wooden floors. I tried to do foxtrots and tangos during the swing songs and weaved through the mass of people. It was tonnes of fun. I paid in full for my Saturday night of merriment on Sunday by working a full day (9-6) in lab and doing homework till 5:30am.
This week is going to be crazy again. I love my life. ChemE and I are gonna be buddies for the next 3 years, and I need to break up with lala land and the prancing ponies.
