i had a pretty nice weekend! many things to blog about. lets see... where should i start. won some money playing poker. i think i'm getting pretty good at it, maybe i should start playing professionally haha. that would be a cool career. shucks i can't remember anything i wanted to blog about.
okay, so i watched the world cup, and the teams i've been rooting for have all lost. every single one. like i've rooted for 6 teams altogether in 6 separate games, including korea, brazil, japan, portugal, argentina and i can't remember the last one, and i JINXEd all of them. sucks. but anyways, it was a happening day. We went to this buffalo wings bar place to watch the match but it was too crowded so we went to 2rows. it's a restaurant near my university. So we ordered food and waited. and then suddenly, at half time, a throng of people entered the restaurant. Apparently, some of the places across the street ran out of power in the middle of the game, so they came here to watch it. our place was running on a generator. So we happily watched the game which went into OT. and around then, the lights started to flicker, and then there was a blackout! i thought everyone was going to riot. but it was civil, and we moved on to the next place, kubo's, a japanese restaurant. and there, i witnessed zidane headbutt some italian dude. and i think none of the referees saw it! it was only through the stadium monitors that they did see it. that sucks. and trezeguet who replaced zidane missed the penalty kick... so that was sucky. the jap restaurant was filled with italian fans who went crazy.
